Our Leader
Hi and welcome to Dolomythic Adventures. My name is Giovanni, I was born in Italy, where artistic and natural beauty are simply part of everyday life. From a young age, it was the mountains that captured my imagination.
During childhood visits to the Alps with my family, I developed a deep fascination with the landscapes, mountain traditions, and the strong, authentic communities that live among those peaks. The Dolomites, in particular, left a lasting impression on me. Their dramatic, almost mystical beauty felt different- powerful, timeless, and deeply alive. Those early experiences never faded.
Twenty-six years ago, I moved to the United States. Living abroad gave me a new perspective on my homeland. Distance has a way of sharpening appreciation. I began to see Italy, and especially the Dolomites, not as something familiar, but as something extraordinary. Over time, that childhood admiration evolved into a lasting bond. I came to understand the Dolomites not only as a breathtaking natural wonder, but as a place rich with culture, history, and human stories, where every village, trail, and mountain face carries meaning.
After years of traveling and exploring distant parts of the world, I felt called back to my own country. I wanted to share the timeless beauty, unique traditions, and remarkable people of the Dolomites in a way that felt personal and authentic.
Dolomythic Adventures was born from that desire: to offer more than a hiking trip, and instead create meaningful journeys through one of the most extraordinary landscapes on earth.
